At Modern Touch Dental, we treat you like the feeling individual that you are, not our ‘2pm-3 pm’. You’re a human being with wants, needs, and special circumstances that can only be understood and accommodated by another human being. That’s why we do NOT subscribe to automated scheduling software. When you request an appointment with us whether, by phone or online, we begin to plan how we will best care for you immediately. That requires knowing the details.

When you note “I’m having tooth pain.” in your online appointment request, we wonder: how long have you been feeling this pain? In which area of the mouth is the pain being felt most? If it’s an emergency to you, it’s an emergency to us. When you write “part of my tooth is chipped”, we want to be prepared to address that specific problem when you arrive. Depending on the severity, the appointment may take more or less time than you may have initially thought.

If we had an automatic scheduling system, you’d be “squeezing” yourself into a one-time slot or another without the ability to customize based on your specific situation. You would be responsible for knowing the ins and outs of the dental procedure you’re seeking- and that’s assuming you know what procedure will best remedy your needs. How long will prep take? Do you need a crown or a filling for that cavity? How long will sedation take? Is a crown preparation at the end of the day a good idea or a bad idea? It’s not your job to know that information. It’s ours.
